World Ocean Day is an opportunity each year to celebrate the world's oceans and your personal connection to the sea. An important part of our Environmental Leadership program, join us to learn more about the Green Movement, how conservation is occurring in Southern Maine and how our Ogunquit hotel is making each stay more eco-friendly.

Celebrating Ogunquit's beaches and the sea with onsite conservation information, eco-education, live entertainment, World Ocean Day party and more!

Sea-scape Arrival - Relax as soon as you arrive with a check in chair massage from Your Body Works

Eco Tour - Take an insider's tour of the Meadowmere and our Resort's Environmental Leader efforts. Led by a member of the staff, you'll see the behind the scenes efforts that go into our Ogunquit hotel everyday. Tour at 3pm, Main Lobby. SEE OUR SOLAR PANELS!

Green Movie Showings- South Meadow TV Room. Discovery's Channel's Planet Series - View this stunning documentary series and learn about the beauty and eco-systems of our planet. South TV room, 5pm, Oceans Documentary Part I.

Official World Ocean Day Pub Party - Featuring our 'Day at the Beach' special. We are happy to give back to preserve local Maine beaches for you to enjoy. Party 4pm-6pm, open til 10pm, West Meadow Pub.

For the Birds - Start your day early with a guided bird walk of Laudholm Farm and learn about native species and conservation programs. Bird walk held at Laudholm in Wells.

Farmer's Market - Visit the York Chamber on Route 1 and explore artisan bakers, local growers, handmade crafts and more. From Vegan delicacies to Stonewall Kitchen's famous jellies and jams, this is a delicious way to learn about going green! Chamber parking lot, 9am -1pm

Learn to Surf! Liquid Dreams is offering surfing lessons at Ogunquit Beach. Includes board, suit and gear. Lessons at 10am & 1pm. Call 207-641-2545.

Grain Surfboards - Ever wonder how people surfed before all those fancy boards? Take a class by Grain Surfboards in York and make your own wooden board. It's all about reuse and recycle!
