It's that time of year again - Ogunquit opens for the season!
Country Squire Opens Its Doors
On the heels of our Luxury Suite renovations and our annual resort wide deep clean, our Country Squire building gets spruced up for 2012. From new spreads to recently renovated bathrooms, our seasonal building returns to service April 13th - Just in time for your Patriot's Day celebrations and school vacation. Remember to make your Apartment Suite reservations early for this seasonal favorite location!

Summer Reservations Heat Up
Grab your spot! Our Om & Foam Surfing Package and Playhouse Package have returned - a sure sign that summer is coming. Live music each weekend, Jonathan's concerts, happy hour and more won't be far behind. There's a lounge chair by the pool waiting for you!
Be sure to have reservations for the summer season in early for your favorite room type. Annual favorites like the Family Suites and Luxury Suites are almost full.
Appreciation Weekends Are Making A Difference
At the Meadowmere we are proud to be a part of the Maine community and to welcome friends new and old into our family. Each Appreciation Weekend now includes a week long Facebook vote for the charity of your choice to receive a donation from the Meadowmere.
Our 2012 Appreciation Weekends have donated hundreds of dollars to Animal Welfare Society and Maine's Children's Cancer Program. Good Stays, Doing Good.

Taste of Maine . . . At Home This Spring 2012
Bread & Roses Bakery's Famous Morning Glory Muffins
Bread & Roses Bakery is a local favorite - and not just because the delicious smell brings you in as you walk along Main Street. Since 1989 they've been making handcrafted breads and treats, including wedding cakes. From a healthy veggie lunch to a classic Maine whoopie pie, the bakery is open weekends off season and opens daily April 7th. Til then, enjoy this yummy favorite at home!
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 3 cups grated carrots
- 3 cups flour
- 1-2 cups drained pineapple
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup coconut
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 3/4 cup nuts, chopped
DIRECTIONS:
- Pre heat oven to 340 degrees
- Mix in large bowl the flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon, coconut, raisins and nuts
- Add carrots into bowl
- Add eggs vanilla, oil and pineapple into bowl
- Mix until incorporated
- Scoop into muffins pans with muffin liners and bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top. May also prep pan with cooking spray to bake without liners.
