World Ocean Day Celebration

Get inspired! Go Green!

World Ocean Day is an opportunity at our hotel to celebrate Ogunquit's connection to the sea. An important part of our Environmental Leadership program, join us for World Ocean Day to learn more about the how conservation is occurring in Southern Maine and how our hotel is making each stay more eco-friendly.

Check in Friday and take a eco tour behind the scenes of the hotel. After a trip through LED lighting, sustainable cleaning and solar panels, relax with a glass of wine and a Cabot Cheese tasting in the pub. Local Maine dairy farmers contributed to each bite!

On Saturday, wake up with breakfast before walking to Ogunquit Beach and Marginal Way. Both attractions are important reasons our hotel highlights green efforts. If you need a rest afterwards, sit and enjoy the sun in our gardens, which feature native species and permeable pavers. You'll catch a glimpse of our solar hot water panels. Perhaps in the evening let us recommend one of several local restaurants with sustainable practices.

Finally, take your time on Sunday to relax and make a splash in our pools, an important part of our eco-friendly programs. Being an green leader goes right down to the bar of soap recycled by the Global Soap Project!
