A local group choose our pub to be the home for their inauguration day celebrations. Yesterday they called in a panic – turns out way more people had rsvp’d to go to the party. No worries, we said – there’s plenty of space. Turns out, our pub and tv room were packed – they had doubled in number from 50 to 100!
People laughed, cheered, cried, listened intently and were moved by the moment. It was an honor to host such an important event. And it was fun – people were in such great spirits. We had specials – Bubbly Barack (prosecco) and A New Day (Bloody Mary’s – virgin if you like) – and delicious catering by the Village Food Market and a Yes We Can! cake.
We hope everyone took some time today and watched the Inauguration. If you did something special or created something cool, post a comment and let us know!
