Visit our celebration in the West Meadow Pub over Christmas by the Sea weekend. Bring a new, unwrapped toy or book for our Toys for Tots box and sing a tune as we kick off the weekend with live caroling, followed by the bonfire on the beach.

Or maybe tourmaline? Maine’s state jewel is a treasure and you can find it from shop to shop over the holidays just waiting in the perfect setting to make her smile. Find special handmade jewelry at Swamp John and Panache in Ogunquit or stroll the streets of Portland and Kennebunk for that sparkling surprise.

Six Geese a Laying Day

Eat, drink and spread good cheer as you enjoy the finest in shopping, dining, art and entertainment in downtown Portland. While visiting, peek into the Portland Art Museum for a little culture and a quick gift or two in the gift shop – there’s always an artsy one to buy for!

Seven Swans a Swimming Evening

Take a dip – if you dare! That’s right, there are a few Mainiacs willing to take the polar plunge for charity. From Portland to Kennebunkport to Ogunquit, join the polar, er, lobsters as they jump into the chilly Atlantic for a cause. Or maybe just have a cup of hot chocolate and a camera ready.

Eight Maids a Milking Day

Have you seen Lenny? How about Yummy’s? Ever stare in wonder as they make delicious treats at Harbor Candy? Maine has wonderful candy shops – from a life size chocolate Moose name Lenny in Saco to Yummy’s every-thing-under-the-sun. But you don’t have to go far. Harbor Candy in Ogunquit has been making homemade chocolate for over 50 years.

Nine Ladies Dancing Day

The holidays are filled with Christmas cheer. But don’t forgot to ring in the New Year! From cruises in Portland to live concerts to Jonathan’s Famous Upstairs/Downstairs party, Maine makes New Year’s special.  Put on the dancing shoes and kick up your heels  – there’s space on the dance floor for you.

Ten Lords a Leaping Evening

The Maine State Ballet annual performance of The Nutcracker is pure holiday joy. Gum drops and toy soldiers, lords a leaping – this is a classic treat for all.

Eleven Pipers Piping Day

The Portland Symphony Orchestra performs their Magic of Christmas show. Just her those sleigh bells ring-a-ling, ting-ting-ting-a-ling- too! Giddy up to Maine and enjoy the show!

Twelve Drummers Drumming Day

The Portland Pirates may not necessarily drum a drum – but they put on a mean show on ice! Relieve a little holiday stress cheering alongside Maine’s hockey fans and skate away a holiday champion for bringing the family sports fan a little holiday fun!
