This week’s stories!
Short and sweet for Valentine’s. Hard to believe February School Vacation is upon us and March will roar into Ogunquit like a lion soon. We’re planning on welcoming spring with our Wine & Dine weekend, St. Patty’s Day fun and our next Top Guest weekend. Phew – winter goes by fast (yippee!)
- Late in the evening, Matt received a call to assist guests with their sliding door. This type of call is not unusually – there is latch that can be unfamiliar to guests and we are happy to personal demonstrate how the door works. This call however, asked Matt to bring along tools to take off the lock. Bit curious. Matt headed right to the room and quickly saw that the guest had locked himself outside on the deck in the freezing cold. In a panic, he pulled on the lock from the outside and his wife from the inside – which promptly broke the handle inside the lock. Matt got right to work and like MacGyver, had the lock off in less than 5 minutes – and the gentleman was back inside, toasty warm.
- Inside the laundry area, Randi spotted a gentleman just outside the door. She asked if there was anything she could help him with. He remarked that he had lost a glove and could not figure out where it had gone. Randi began the search with him, spotted the missing glove and sent him on his way. He was delighted to have the help – and his glove!
