This week’s stories!
It’s official, the start off to the warm weather, ice cream cones and sand castles on Ogunquit Beach! Come and see why Maine is called “Vacationland”, with yummy cuisine and laid back lazy days soaking in the sun to exciting excursions on the sea. Ogunquit has much to offer, whatever your vacation style happens to be. Memorial Day isn’t just the official kick off to the summer season, it’s also a reminder of the sacrifices made to ensure our freedom. Thank you to all the men and women who serve our country and put their lives on the line to protect our nation.
- Jeremey noticed two ladies who seemed lost. He approached and asked if he could be of assistance. The guest admitted that they were a little lost and looking for their room. Jeremey noticed that the guest was on the 2nd level but seemed to be having some difficulty walking around. He brought the guest back to the front desk to see about getting them a room on the 1st level. We were able to accommodate guest on the first level close to the lobby so that guest would not have to walk as far for breakfast or climb any stairs after just having knee surgery. Guest was very appreciative of his help and eagerness to make their stay more enjoyable.
- Janet was cleaning a stayover when she noticed that the guests were using the plastic cups to drink their nice bottle of Merlot. She provided the guest with extra plastic cups and also left two wine glasses with a note. The guests were delighted and sought her out the next day to personally thank her and let her know the wine was much more enjoyable in the wine glass then the plastic cup.
- There is nothing like a nice cold drink after a nice long walk on the Marginal Way. Jeremey received a call that a guest was having difficulty with the refrigerator in their room. He went up to the room to assist the guest. The guest explained they were on their way out for a walk but would be delighted if he could fix it, the refrigerator didn’t seem to be cold at all. He wished them a pleasant walk and soon discovered that the refrigerator was not running. He replaced it with a new one and transferred their belongings to the new, nice cold refrigerator so they could enjoy their beverages cold upon their return.
- How do you do that? Amber was approached by a guest who inquired how we fold our towels into the seashell basket. The guest told her she also worked at a resort and wanted to show her manager, the guest thought it was a great idea and looked great in the room. Amber gladly demonstrated a few times so the guest could share when she returned to work.
