This week’s stories!

School’s out and it’s time to hit the beach! Pack up the kiddos and let them romp and play in Ogunquit’s surf, check out our summer deals! Fireworks on the beach, sand castle contests, poolside lunches and trolley rides, it’s all just a click away.  Make your plans for the Fourth of July now, spaces are filling up fast.

  • Ah, Ah, Achoo! Allergies are never fun, especially when you are traveling. Ashley was cleaning in the East Meadow building when a guest who was traveling with a bus tour kept sneezing and mentioned that they were suffering from all the pollen in the air and it was causing their allergies to act up. She offered the guest an extra box of tissues for the ride as she knew that the guest would not be able to stop elsewhere while traveling with the group.
  • It’s hard enough to get motivated to get to the gym each day, it’s even more frustrating when you can’t get your key to let you in. Beverly was cleaning in the Main building when she noticed a guest who was trying to gain access to one of the exterior doors. She asked if she could be of help and the guest explained that she was trying to go to the gym. Beverly showed her the way to the gym and made sure that her key worked. While they were walking to the gym they struck up a conversation and Beverly joked with her and got her workout started early and said she was the gym instructor for the day and to “kick her feet” and get her heart rate going “pump those arms”. The guest started her workout with a big smile on her face and a little spring in her step!
  • The Marginal Way is a favorite attraction in Ogunquit and many visitors walk it daily. Donna wasworking in the Country Squire when a guest approached her and asked if she knew the best way to get to the cliff walk. Donna escorted the guest to the opposite side of the property and stopped and got her a local area map so the guest could enjoy all of the local attractions including the downtown shops and Perkins Cove. The guest had a great time exploring Ogunquit and found Donna after their walk to let her know what a fabulous time they had.
