This week’s stories!

It’s time to soak up some sun and splash in the waves at Ogunquit’s sandy beach! The weather says it’s going to be sunny and hot all week, sounds like beach weather to us. Bring the beach chairs and suntan lotion, summer is officially here! Don’t forget to make your plans for the Fourth of July, you won’t want to miss out on all the fun festivities.

  • Car trouble is always more stressful when you are traveling. Kyle was working at the front desk when a guest approached and inquired if there was a nearby garage as her check engine light had come on in her vehicle. He searched around and was able to find the closest place for her to go. Being a bit of a gear head he offered advice of what might possibly be the issue to put her mind at ease. He then obtained a quote from a local garage and gave her directions. The guest returned and thanked him for all of his advice and with his assistance the fix was easy and didn’t cost a dime.
  • Many times we receive emails from guests looking for travel advice. Anna received an email from a guest who simply wanted information about transportation from Portland airport to the resort. She looked up the Amtrack schedules and fees, called the airport shuttles to confirm they would transport from the airport to the Amtrack station and gave the guest the shuttle rates as well as the Amtrack rates along with the rates for local taxis. She also called the local car rental companies to get quotes as well for the guest’s three day stay. She made sure that guest had all of the important information so that he could make the best decision for his vacation and travel plans.
  • You don’t want to miss a moment of your massage! Beverly was cleaning in the Roman Spa when she saw two guests who looked a little lost. She approached the guests and asked if she could help. The guests showed her their vouchers for the spa appointments and were worried that they were late. She took them right down to the spa suites so that they could relax and enjoy. The guests enjoyed the massages so much that they scheduled more spa treatments for the next day as well.
  • Now I can see clearly. Janet noticed a guest who was trying to clean his glasses with a damp towel but was having difficulty getting the glasses clean and without streaks or fibers left behind. She offered the guest a dry polishing cloth so that he could see. The guest thanked her and said now he was ready for his walk down to the beach. He didn’t want his view of the ocean to be spotted due to dirty glasses.
