- Everyone is guilty of hitting the snooze button just one more time, especially when on vacation. One of our guests overslept and missed breakfast by 15 minutes. The guest called the front desk and asked Tracy were they could get a quick breakfast, they had two small boys who were hungry. Tracy went over to the kitchen and was able to get the guest some donut holes, orange juice and muffins and brought the items to the guests rooms so that they could get their boys up and going and ready to spend the day exploring Ogunquit.
- What goes better with a hot summer day than Ice Tea? Two of our guests had just returned from a walk along the Marginal Way and were looking for a place to get a couple of glasses of nice cold ice tea. Sheila suggested a few great places to get some nice cold beverage but the guest was tired and was looking forward to taking the ice tea back to their room to enjoy on their balcony. Sheila brewed some tea with sugar and then added some ice, she told the guest to sit back and relax and she would let them know when it was ready. The guest was blown away that she took the time which made the sweet tea even sweeter.
- Our Service Stories don’t just happen here on property. Orlene was riding the trolley when a visitor inquired is she knew what time the pharmacy in town closed, her husband wasn’t feeling well and she needed to pick up his medication. Orlene suggested the best way to get up to Wells through the trolley service as the guest did not have a vehicle. The guest then realized she didn’t have enough cash on her to take the next trolley to Wells. Orlene paid for her next trolley fare as she was heading the same way. On their ride they talked about the area and it turned out that the guest on the trolley was staying at the resort. The guest was so overwhelmed by her kindness that she made sure to tell management about her good deed.
