This week’s stories!

Apple pie oh my! September is prime apple picking month, come check out our Apple picking map and get the inside scoop on the best places to pick yummy macintosh, courtland and gala apples.  PumpkinFiddle at Laudholm Farm is just around the corner, enjoy this family fun festival and enjoy the beginning of Autumn with us!

  • Celebrating an Anniversary is always memorable of reminiscent of your special day. Janet had made the towels into swans and left them on the bed with fresh flowers for the arrival of our Presidential Suite as they were celebrating their anniversary. She replaced the flowers and swans each day as the guests were so delighted with the swans upon their arrival. During the second night of the guest’s stay the wife was admitted to the hospital as she was not feeling well, upon cleaning the room on the following day Janet left a get well card for the guest as well. The guest saw Janet the next day and thanked her for her kindness and told her “this place is just like home”.
  • Sheila was working at the front desk when a women with two small children checked in late in the evening, the guest was having difficulty finding parking so Sheila offered to move her vehicle so that the guest could park closer to her room. Sheila then double parked her vehicle so that she could assist the guest with her luggage. The guest was so tired when she arrived and so grateful for Sheila’s help, it’s the kind of understanding that can only be understood between two mothers.
  • We frequently have wedding guests stay with us at the resort. Janet noticed a young lady trying to carry all of the bridesmaid floral arrangements and having a little difficulty. She offered assistance and shortly returned with a box that the guest could use to carry the arrangements to the wedding ceremony. Even the best maid of honor needs an extra set of hands when helping to make the brides day perfect.

“Lose yourself in generous service and every day can be a most unusual day, a triumphant day, an abundantly rewarding day!.” – William Arthur Ward
