This Week’s Stories!

This year’s OgunquitFest was a huge success! Thank you to all who came out to cheer on our winning team at the Bridge to Beach Bedrace, we look forward to next year’s events and defending our first place title. With October almost in the rear-view mirror and the holidays right around the corner we are gearing up for a fabulous holiday season. Check out our Thanksgiving package and leaving the cooking and cleanup to us, come celebrate Turkey Day by the sea!

• Suggestion box worthy! All of our staff is knowledgeable on various areas of the resort, amenities, room types and happenings in town. Mike, who works in our housekeeping department, was cleaning the hallways in the South building when he greeted a first time guest who was very much enjoying their stay but had a few concerns. He listened to the guest’s concerns and politely offered solution to each. The guest was unaware of our Apartment suite as they were disappointed that their room did not offer any cooking facilities and dining out each evening was becoming a bit expensive on their extended getaway. He explained the Apartment is equipped with full kitchen and living room and also offered a time frame for future stays that would better accommodate the guests needs. He made a lasting impression on the guest and a repeat patron for sure.
• It can be difficult to acclimate yourself to new surroundings. Ashley was getting her housekeeping cart ready for the day when a guest approached her and inquired where the indoor hot tub was located, she escorted the guest to the Roman Bath and pointed out the best route for the guest to take from her room. She also showed the guest to the fitness facility where changing facilities are available and where to get towels for all water amenities at the front desk. The guest was delighted with the personal attention and impressed with her knowledge and willingness to help.
