This Week’s Stories!

It’s official we are going to have an early spring according to Punxsutawney Phil who did not see his shadow this ground hog’s day. Thank you Phil we will toast to you when we are laying on the hot white sand with a cold drink in our hand!

  • Why is it men never like to ask for directions, even when it comes to vacations. Alec was working in the Main building when he noticed a guest who looked a little lost and was reading the direction sign at the end of the hallway, the guest’s wife look a bit perturbed and he decided to ask if he could help. The Mrs. spoke up quickly and stated they were looking for the Roman Bath, he escorted them down to the spa and made sure they had towels before he left them to relax in the hot bubbling water.
  • Every now and then we have the opportunity to be a part of someone’s special day or events in their life. It is an opportunity that we hold near and dear and are appreciative that we are privileged to be a part of. Carrie was assisting a couple with their plans for a small intimate wedding in our pub, she helped with the floral arrangements, the set up for the ceremony and was there standing by in case they needed anything. During her interaction with the happy couple she learned they were expecting their first child. At the end of her shift she went down to the local toy store and purchased a small gift for the baby and had it placed in their room the next day. The guests were so delighted thanked her and even sought her out the next day to give her a hug.

Thank you for letting us share this week’s service stories with you. Each week we hope our little differences help bring a smile to your face – remember, service is not dead. It just took a vacation to Maine!
