This Week’s Stories!

When Irish Eyes are laughing…May the luck of the Irish be with yee! St. Patrick’s Day is more than green beer and corned beef it is a day to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick. Don’t forget to make your plans now, we wouldn’t want your luck to run out.

  • Can I give you a hand? Matt was finished work for the day, it had been a busy day full of shoveling out vehicles and clearning lots. On his way out he noticed a guest with their hood up. He pulled up next to the guest and asked what the issue was, the guest stated they had blown a break line. He offered to go and pick up the parts necessary to fix the issue as the guest was unable to drive and was not looking forward to having the vehicle towed and an expensive trip to the garage. The guest was delighted and he was happy to help.
  • Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birhday to you. Jen noticed that a guest in her section was celebrating a birthday, on her way in the following day she stopped at one of her favorite bakeries and picked up a special cupcake and place it in the room during the day’s stay over service. The guest was so surprised and blown away she left a little note thanking her for making the birthday a special one.
  • Coffee with a smile, many of our guests have special preferences and we do our best to
accommodate when they stay with us. One of our long time guests had just gotten into an accident on his way to the resort, he was fine but his car was not. During the next day Tracy stopped and picked up Dunkin Donuts coffee, the guest’s favorite, and a special glazed donut so that the guest did not have to worry about venturing out in the rental car.

“He that will not apply new remedies must expect new evils; for time is the greatest innovator.” – Francis Bacon

Thank you for letting us share this week’s service stories with you. Each week we hope our little differences help bring a smile to your face – remember, service is not dead. It just took a vacation to Maine!
