This Week’s Stories!
Happy Labor Day Weekend! Celebrate everyone’s hard work with a relaxing weekend here at one of Ogunquit’s Maine beach resorts! The Meadowmere Resort accommodating nearly 150 families, couples, and friends reuniting for a much needed “end of summer” vacation. The last weekend before school starts, jobs kick into gear, and fall foliage breaks out our sweaters, scarves, and boots. So hop in that Maine water one last time and cheers to yet another summer made full of memories, good times, and a tan to remind you that even up here in Maine it still gets sunny and hot!
• This week, Whitney saw some guests playing in the game room when the two little girls playing told Whitney a machine ate their change. Whitney reached into her pocket, pulling out two $1 bills for each of the girls telling them to have fun! The parents quickly asked Whitney if that money was from her own pocket as the girls only lost 50 cents. Whitney graciously said yes and that she was more than happy to offer $2 so long as their daughters were having fun and playing!
• Jodi and Whitney both noticed a few guests staying in our West Meadow building who just arrived. Whitney and Jodi had just cleaned rooms that left extra trolley tokens in it. Both of our generous housekeepers quickly offered the guests the tokens who were extremely happy with their gesture.
• Busy weekend for the Tooth Fairy as a little guest of ours lost a tooth while staying here at the Meadowmere! Now as exciting as it was, the Tooth Fairy usually leaves this lucky lady a typed note under her pillow. Kyle, our front desk agent, helped this mother prepare the letter while finding some stickers to spruce it up a bit! The mother and Tooth Fairy were just delighted with his help as it was late in the evening.
“Merely satisfying customers will not be enough to earn their loyalty. Instead, they must experience exceptional service worthy of their repeat business and referral. Understand the factors that drive this customer revolution.” – Rick Tate
Thank you for letting us share this week’s service stories with you. Each week we hope our little differences help bring a smile to your face – remember, service is not dead. It just took a vacation to Maine!
