This Week’s Stories!
This weekend is a special weekend for the town of Ogunquit, Maine. This weekend Ogunquit hosts “Ogunquitfest”, perfect excuse to stay here at the Meadowmere, Maine family vacation resort. Starting on Saturday, Ogunquitfest will be having a car show, wine tasting, pumpkin painting, ghostly tours, a silent movie at our local movie theatre, and a “Carnival of Chaos” at Main Street bar. Not to mention on Sunday there will be a costume parade, our infamous bridge to beach bed race, and Perkins Cove high heel dash. Don’t miss out and book a room for you and your family while they are still available!
• Josh, one of our runners, was cleaning in the pool area when he overheard a mother and daughters were saying how they forgot goggles. Josh let the family know that the front desk kept a box of extras that they could pick from. The guests and girls were so thrilled to have goggles! The father saw Josh over in the pub and asked of local restaurants that delivered and Josh told him of a few he knew personally. Josh then came to the front desk to seek more options. He got names and phone numbers and the guest was so happy! He was so pleased in fact that he spoke to the manager on duty about how satisfied he was of the service Josh provided for his family during his Maine family vacation.
• Guests were departing and had their hands full with luggage and wine glasses. The guests’ mentioned they were bringing the glasses back to Jonathan’s. Janet, our housekeeper, kindly took the glasses to save them the trip and brought them to Jonathan’s herself.
• Janet was cleaning a luxury suite when the guests came back to the room. Making small talk, Janet found out the guests came for a romantic Maine getaway in celebration of their anniversary. While they patiently waited for Janet to finish cleaning, the guests ended up coming back to a room with towel swans, chocolates, and a personal card to their room from Janet.
“Merely satisfying customers will not be enough to earn their loyalty. Instead, they must experience exceptional service worthy of their repeat business and referral. Understand the factors that drive this customer revolution.” – Rick Tate
