This Week’s Stories!
Just because it’s not summer doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a weekend getaway! Come visit our southern Maine resort as a mini-vacation. At Jonathan’s, the James Montgomery Band is playing so get your tickets and enjoy a marvelous meal by Jonathan’s incredible staff. Please enjoy our employee stories below about possible winter getaways or romantic celebrations the Meadowmere Resort can become a part of.
• Brrrrr… Winter’s chill is certainly upon us, and many guests were here at our Southern Maine resort while these snow flurries began. For one couple, their heat was being awfully stubborn one morning. Our maintenance team assisted immediately but informed the guests that fixing the heat was not salvageable that day. The guests were assisted in moving to a new room. As it was such an inconvenience, our front desk agent, Ellyse delivered hot cocoa to the new room to be waiting for the guests with a note thanking them for being so patient.
- Janet, our housekeeper, was busy cleaning a room while the guest was relaxing there as well. Janet noticed that the guest looked rather uncomfortable. The guest said she hurt her back and would be up in bed all day. Janet offered to provide extra pillows to help the guest get more comfortable and it really helped her rest easier.
• The Meadowmere Resort is well-known for its romantic getaways and this past weekend was a very special weekend for one particular couple. As a regular guest, this young gentleman was planning a proposal. While out at dinner he was hoping the flowers and champagne he pre-ordered to be delivered, so our front desk agent Lauren prepared the room accordingly and the guests were absolutely thrilled! The flowers were set on the nearby table with a hand written note by the guest, rose petals sprinkled around the room, and chilled champagne avec flutes awaiting their return. At check out the gentleman was so ecstatic with the turnout.
