New Year’s Eve- December 19, 2013

This Week’s Stories!

Thought about your New Year’s plans yet? Join us for our New Year’s Eve package that includes a delicious welcome wine and cheese reception, dinner at either Jonathan’s or the Old Village Inn, Jonathan’s famous upstairs and downstairs party for each package guest, December 31st Breakfast, New Year’s Day Brunch, and a much needed extended check-out of 1pm. How can you resist that?!

• Winter’s starting early with all this snow and some guests’ cars were snowed in. Someone was kicking snow in attempt to shovel it away from their car. Josh quickly grabbed his shovel and came to the rescue! The guest was so appreciative of his helping hand.

• On Sunday when it was snowing really badly, Kyle our night auditor went out and shoveled the front driveway. He then moved the connector and shoveled the path from our main parking lot to the East Meadow building so guests could make their way to the main building for their morning coffee without schlepping through eight inches of snow.

• Whitney, one of our housekeepers, came across two little girls trying to get orange soda from the vending machine. They only had a dollar in quarter that the machine wasn’t taking so Whitney thoughtfully bought the drink for the girls giving them the extra money too. I’m sure that’ll make its way to the piggy bank!

Thank you for letting us share this week’s service stories with you. Each week we hope our little differences help bring a smile to your face – remember, service is not dead. It just took a vacation to Maine!
