Spring has so many wonderful signs – flowers, sunshine, longer days, warmer afternoons, buds on trees. And it is all happening as Spring arrives in Ogunquit Maine. Of course, Easter is another Spring tradition at the Meadowmere Resort. With kid’s Easter crafts, egg hunts and Jonathan’s famous Easter Day brunch, planning an Easter weekend in Maine is a fun and relaxed way to celebrate.
And if traveling for the holiday is not a fit, April school vacation is just around the corner. With Ogunquit favorites like Ogunquit Lobster Pound, Barnacle Billy’s and more open to enjoy, planning a family vacation for April break in Maine can be filled with old fashion outdoor fun. No iphones or epads required. Hike Mt. Agamenticus, stroll Marginal Way, grab an early season ice cream and perhaps cast a line for drop fishing on Ogunquit’s bridge. Yes, April Showers (which bring May Flowers! No complaining!) may happen but with indoor pool, TV room, Roman Spa and plenty of games, puzzles and room service, there is a always a way to unwind rain or shine at our Ogunquit hotel.
And it’s not just planning an April Family vacation that has our Maine Resort looking forward to the sunshine. Our are celebrating and revving up at the thought of warmer temps too – Check out a few of this past week’s service stories:
- Even after a great night’s sleep in a suite at the Meadowmere, morning coffee is a must – after all, it’s Maine made! Jodi was tidying up a guest room when she noticed that both of the regular coffees were used and non of the decaf. Rather than just replace the two regulars, Jodi set up the guests with four coffees to start of the next morning with a full tank. The guests were so surprised that she had noticed such a small detail that they left a personal hand written note telling Jodi how much they appreciated it!
- Recently the Meadowmere Resort was named the best Honeymoon spot in New England. So we aren’t surprised when some of our guests get swept up in the romance of Ogunquit Maine. When Janet discovered that guests had just decided to become engaged during their stay, she placed a complimentary box of chocolates in room, made some of our famous kissing swans and put a complimentary copy of Real Maine Weddings to help the wedding planning begin.
- Staying at a hotel for the first time can be unnerving – is it clean? are they friendly? will I sleep well? We understand. When guests walked into the hotel after a long drive and in need of accommodations, they had many questions. Matt offered to take the guests on a short tour and show the room and all the amenities at our Ogunquit Maine hotel. The guests were so pleased with the personal touch and the Meadowmere Resort, that they checked in immediately and relaxed after a long day’s trip.
