The dog days of summer might just be here early. Keeping cool on these hot July days can be challenging. Of course, our Ogunquit Maine hotel just so happens to have a few good ways ot stay cool. Here are a few helpful hints that will help you to “chill out” when escaping on your Maine vacation:
-

In Ogunquit Village enjoying the unique boutique shops, delicious ice cream and of course famous Maine Lobster Rolls!
Finally, if you really need to escape the heat, set sail from Perkins Cove and explore the beauty of Ogunquit Maine from the sea. Easy enough to take a dip!
Rest assured… at our Ogunquit Maine hotel, we understand that finally taking that family vacation means everyone needs a little rest and relaxation. Here are a few examples that of making our guests feel right at home this past week:
- One guest joining us this week had an accident at home and arrived to us on crutches – Quite a surprise! He was determined not to let the injury keep him from visiting the Meadowmere! As Rowan was tiding up his room she noticed that a bottle of wine was sitting in an ice bucket full of water – the ice had melted. Rowan, knowing the importance of keeping white wine cool, emptied out the expired ice and refilled the bucket for the guest to enjoy when they returned for the evening.
- A regular guest, who often visits us each week, returned after cancelling a reservation for the week before. It was so very unlike them to cancel and we were concerned. Upon making the alterations for the guest, Hannah learned that the reason for the cancellation was due to losing their dog of twelve years. Knowing the heart-ache of losing a best friend, Hannah pulled together a card with sympathy from all the staff and box of chocolates to sweeten their stay.
- Families often find refuge at our Ogunquit Maine hotel during the summer heat! One particular father was taking his little one for a stroll along the air conditioned hallways. Janet, a member of our housekeeping team, was getting ready for a busy day when she noticed them. Knowing that little one’s tend to nap at a certain time she inquired with the father if there was a special time he’d like the room cleaned today. “Oh Yes” he said as he informed her of the best time and ensuring the little one a peaceful sleep!
