September in Maine brought a few cold days along, just in time for the leaves to change.
This past weekend the weather has been beautiful – it feels like summer as we stroll along Ogunquit Beach, Mount Agamenticus or drive up to the Maine Agricultural Fairs in September. The Cumberland Fair ended this weekend with lots of fun for the whole family Farris wheels and cotton candy for the kids, harness racing and Maine liquors for the adults. The Fryeburg Fair has always been a favorite to visitors and we are excited to see its gates opening Sunday, September 28, 2014. At the Meadowmere we always know what’s going on and how to make your stay a memorable one. Here are a couple of stories from our Ogunquit hotel this week.
Ioana, our Front Desk Agent, was checking in a woman traveling alone, they had an extensive conversation about the on-goings in Ogunquit during this guests visit. Finding a little time between check-ins and phone calls Ioana arranged a vacation plan for this guest. Scheduling out all of Ogunquit’s Highlights to ensure she didn’t miss a beat, including a Cruise around the Nubble Lighthouse aboard the FinestKind, stroll around the Marginal Way, lunch in Perkins Cove and so much more.
On the other end of the hotel our Room Attendant Jodi was chatting it up with a lovely couple in one of our King Fireplace Suites. These guests were visiting us for well over a week and come to find out they were here for their very own Ogunquit Wedding. Jodi offered her congratulations and on her way home from worked stopped into one of the unique boutique shops in Ogunquit Village. She picked up a Card, a Romantic Candle and box of sweets.
It’s always a pleasure to be a part of such a special occasion.
