As the fall season begins to wind down and the leaves fall from the trees Motor Coach Operators begin to finalize next years travel plans. This is exactly why we’ve found November to be the perfect month to kick start our Annual Meadowmere Resort Familiarization Tour here’s what we have planned…
This November 2014 we have invited a number of Motor Coach Operators to experience not only the Maine coastal resort but the surrounding villages as we launch Annual FAM Tours. It starts with accommodations in Ogunquit, Maine at the Meadowmere Resort where guests will enjoy a Wine and Cheese Welcome Reception in the West Meadow Pub – just as groups do when they arrive. Your Body Works will join us in the Pub with Chair Massages as our guests settle in. Jonathan’s Restaurant has invited us to join them for dinner Friday evening to enjoy their American Continental Cuisine as they showcase their space and menu options. Following dinner Motor Coach Operators find a bit of time to relax whether it’s taking in a cocktail at Jonathan’s Bar, soaking in the Roman Spa or enjoying the evenings in the TV Room.
Saturday morning we awake bright an early and enjoy a homemade breakfast at Jonathan’s Restaurant to fuel our day. We venture South to the Kittery Outlets with over 100 designer Outlet shops and drive along the coast of York, Maine for a visit at the Nubble Lighthouse before stopping in to visit Fosters Downeast Clambake –a must try for all motor coach groups.
For lunch we experience the Cooking Demonstrations at Stonewall Kitchen and explore their famous shop and café area. The day then brings us back to Ogunquit, Maine to explore the quaint village, Ogunquit Beach, Marginal Way cliff walk and Perkins Cove for a visit with FinestKind Cruises. The Ogunquit Museum of American Art will open its doors for a tour of the property and art work as well as the history with Henry Strater. We return to our Maine coastal resort for a tour of the hotel showcasing our environmental policies and our unique amenities including our state of the art Fitness Center, Heated Indoor Pool, Library, Roman Spa and stadium seating TV Room all complimentary to group guests. The tour is followed by a few free hours for Motor Coach Operators to enjoy their accommodations in Ogunquit Maine and explore on their own.
We gather again after the break and head to Clay Hill Farm (a unique restaurant, wildlife center and bird sanctuary) in Cape Neddick, Maine. Clay Hill Farm welcomes us to enjoy their modern cuisine and classic setting as they share their unique offering such as dinner theatre.
The weekend ends with a tour of the Ogunquit Playhouse who continues to carry on its legacy as American’s Foremost Summer Theatre after over 83 years of astonishing productions.
Then we say our goodbyes and hope to see them again next season with a bus full of eager guests excited to enjoy Ogunquit, Maine and the Meadowmere Resort!
