Tonight is opening night for the new Gershwin musical comedy, Crazy for You. Rue McClanahan– the Golden Girl is live on stage and guest starring, which is a treat. Who doesn’t love Blanche? Plus, the song list looks like a blast – I’ve Got Rhythm, Embraceable You, They Can’t Take That Away From Me. If you have never been to the Playhouse, we highly recommend seeing a show. This is the 75th year for ‘Broadway at the Beach’ – which is remarkable. iPhones, iPods, Black Berries, HDTV, portable DVD players and still, the Playhouse packs ’em in.

Ogunquit has always been know for its fireworks. Families have wonderful memories of gathering up blankets, packing snacks in a picnic basket and rolling in our red radio flyers towards Ogunquit Center to catch the best spot. (It used to be on the wall of the Sparhawk – right across from the little house. )

We really took on the challenge of Save the Planet or Else – as Schwarzenegger’s Newsweek cover shouted.
