Is the hotel walking distance to the beach?
Yes! We are a 10 minute walk to Ogunquit Beach. Leaving from the north end of the Resort, you will walk past the Ogunquit Heritage Museum and Shore Road shops to the Beach Footpath – a scenic stroll to the sandy shore. In summer season, we offer Red Radio Flyer wagons on first come, first served basis to take the littles ones and beach gear.
What other Ogunquit attractions can I walk to?
In the heart of Ogunquit. And we mean it. With our central location, you are just a 5-10 minute walk from Downtown Ogunquit and a 15-20 minute walk from Perkins Cove. Both have unique shops and restaurants to explore. The Marginal Way is only a 5 minute walk from our hotel – you’ll be strolling along the ocean listening to waves in no time. Finally the Ogunquit Playhouse is less than a 5 minute walk so you can enjoy a show and not even have to move your car.
What is included with our hotel stay? Are there Resort fees?
The Meadowmere is an affordable luxury vacation. For that reason, when you Book Direct, there are no resort fees for access to our many amenities. Just walk right into the health club, jump right into the heated pool, or relax in the Roman Bath.
Breakfast is included with your Booked Direct stay. Breakfast offers homemade baked goods, fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, and more. For a full breakfast , we will happily recommend a local breakfast restaurant. A daily breakfast fee applies for non-direct bookings.
Wifi is included with your Booked Direct stay. Available in common areas and rooms. Upgraded wifi available for an additional fee. A daily wifi fee applies for non-direct bookings.
Parking is included with your Booked Direct stay. Parking is one space per reservation per night. Additional space available at a nearby parking lot for a daily fee. A daily parking fee applies for non-direct bookings.
What is the difference in the rooms? And the building locations?
The Meadowmere offers many different types of rooms to choose from. Many of our guests love that they can return for everything from a romantic celebration to a family trip to a getaway with friends.
Standard rooms offer choices of double/full, queen or king beds. Suites offer choices of having a fireplace, jacuzzi or both in room. Family Suites and the Apartment off two separate bedrooms.
The hotel has five locations to choose from. The Main Building is the central most location to amenities and at the heart of the hotel. The West Meadow Building is connected to the Main and overlooks the outdoor pool. The East Meadow Building is detached from the Main and is a quiet location with lovely gardens. The South Meadow Building is connected to the Main and is home to the fitness center and Roman Spa. The Country Squire Building is detached from the Main and is open seasonally with motel style access.
Summer is a popular time to visit Ogunquit – Are there other times too?
Yes! Ogunquit is a great place to visit any time of the year and the Meadowmere Resort is open for it all. A few highlights include: Fall Foliage & Festivals (Early September- Late October), Christmas by the Sea (Early December), New Year’s Eve (With our famous party package), and Patriot’s Day Festival (Mid April). Of course the West Meadow Pub has entertainment each weekend and we have great getaway packages and specials to Ogunquit – so there’s always a reason to plan a vacation to Ogunquit!
There are so many amenities at the Resort – Are they all open year round?
Many of our amenities are open year round for your stay. Seasonal amenities include our Outdoor Pool, West Meadow Pub, East Meadow BBQ Pits and Outdoor Hot Tub.
The Outdoor Pool and BBQ Pits are open from May through October. The Pub and Outdoor Hot Tub are open weekends during the off season.

We loved our room from last trip – can we have the same room this trip guaranteed?
We often have our guests fall in love with the room of their stay (we understand!) and request the same room for the next trip. While we make every effort to accommodate such requests, we cannot guarantee specific room numbers – only room type. Hotel rooms often need a little TLC and we wouldn’t want to disappoint guests when such instances occur. We thank you for your understanding!
What is your hotel rating?
The Meadowmere Resort is rated Triple Diamond by AAA and Three Star by Mobil. For a list of press and awards, please visit our News & Press section online.
Do you have smoking rooms?
We apologize, however, all of our resort rooms, balconies/patios and amenity areas, including the West Meadow Pub, are strictly non-smoking. State of Maine regulations say so!
We kindly request that all guests refrain from using the private balcony/patio of their room during their stay. This is for the comfort of all our guests on their Maine vacation and in accordance with Maine smoking regulations. Should a room require a special cleaning treatment for smoking – or any other circumstance – a $200.00 per day of treatment fee applies.
Do you allow pets?
We apologize, however, all of our resort rooms and amenity areas strictly prohibit pets of any kind, with the exception of our guests requiring a certified service animal (We do ask that such cases be brought to a manager’s attention during booking so we may better prepare for your stay). It’s not that we mind our furry friends – However, we must do what’s best for all guests to enjoy their vacation with us. There are excellent Puppy & Kitty Camps in the area – We are happy to make a recommendation.
Do you have function space?
We often get asked about weddings, clubs, events and more coming to visit. The Resort is happy to host your friends and family for the special event you are planning (Please contact group sales at 1-800-633-8718). The Meadowmere Resort can help make a fun, memorable time for all!
What time is check in/out?
Check in time is 2pm or later. If you arrive early, you may pre-register and begin using the resort amenities until your room is ready.
We apologize, however, early check-in is not offered – we are proud of our exceptionally well maintained rooms and use this time to prepare yours to our standards.
Check out time is 11am.
What is your booking/cancellation policy?
We require a deposit of the first night’s stay plus tax at booking to guarantee your reservation. Our standard cancellation policy is 7 days.
Outside of 7 days from date of your arrival, we will happily refund your deposit amount, minus a $25 Processing Fee, should your travel plans require a change or cancel. Within 7 days of your arrival date, deposits are Non-Refundable.
For certain specials/packages, deposits are non-refundable once booked as noted – please refer to your confirmation letter.
Departures previous to length of time reserved will be charged in full for balance of reserved period. Refunds are not issued for late arrivals or on unused portions of packages/services.
What is needed upon arrival?
Photo identification with proof of 21 or older and a credit card are required upon arrival to register at the Meadowmere Resort. This is to insure your safety and the safety of all our guests.
Please be advised that by registering with the hotel, your credit card will be authorize at check-in for the balance of stay as well as incidentals. Should a debit card be presented, any unused amount will be released at midnight the day of departure by the hotel. The Meadowmere Resort is not responsible for any fees associated with the use of a debit card.
What about transportation from an airport or Amtrak? And parking? And trolleys?

Ogunquit has seasonal trolley service that stops on Bourne Lane near Jonathan’s Restaurant. The trolley runs weekends in the shoulder season and daily in summer. There is no set schedule as the trolleys operate in regular traffic. There is a step on fee and limitations to what may be brought on board. We recommend contacting the Ogunquit Trolley Company for additional details.
Help! I left something behind – Is there a lost and found?
I stay at your inn all the time – Is there a repeat guest program?
Our hotel is a long time favorite in Ogunquit and we thank you for choosing to stay with us. As a small, independent inn, we do not have a large, fancy program with points and coupons. Instead, we offer great rates year round and reward our most frequent customers each year with special weekends and either Guest Appreciation Membership.
However, rest assured that all we enjoy seeing all of our guests and we welcome everyone to enjoy Ogunquit and the Meadowmere.
