Melissa Pasanen

Melissa Pasanen is an award-winning Vermont-based writer with a focus on food, farming and sustainability. She is food editor of Vermont Life magazine and co-authored the New York Times notable cookbook, "Cooking with Shelburne Farms: Food and Stories from Vermont" (Viking, 2007). Her most recent book project is "The Cabot Creamery Cookbook" (Time, Inc., February, 2015) for which she was the writer. Melissa is a regular contributor to Edward Behr's Art of Eating and has written for Vermont's largest newspaper, The Burlington Free Press, for more than a decade. Shehas appeared on national and local television and can be heard on Vermont Public Radio's VPR Cafe weekly series. Her work has also been published in USA Today, Parade, The Boston Globe Magazine, EatingWell magazine, Whole Foods magazine and Saveur among many other publications. She has won several awards for her social media activities; you can follow her on Twitter @TasteofVermont.

Check-in is any time after 2:00 p.m. Check-out is 11:00am for regular stays and 1:00 p.m for packages. Credit card guarantee of first nights rate plus tax is required to confirm reservations. Sorry, no pets. Higher rates possible during holiday weekends and special events/high season. A deposit refund, minus only a $25 Processing Fee, is made up to 11 p.m. seven days prior to the day of arrival. Deposits are Non-Refundable within seven days prior to the day of arrival.
